Program Overview
Our Mission as Health Crusaders is bringing awareness and advocating to eliminate health and healthcare disparities in Louisiana. The Health Crusaders work together with LCHE on the LA40by2030 campaign to help advance health equity in Louisiana and work to address major gaps in healthcare access. As youth ambassadors, the Crusaders offer a fresh perspective through social media, grassroots events, policy reports, and more.
Why Join the Health Crusaders?
Health Crusaders gives college students a unique opportunity to create meaningful, lasting impact through hands-on public health work. Participants design and lead community projects that support the LA40by2030 initiative, directly contributing to improving health and wellness across Louisiana. With supportive mentorship from LCHE’s public health leaders, students gain practical experience, build strong leadership skills, grow their professional network, and become part of a statewide movement dedicated to advancing health equity.
