The Wade Institute for Youth Equity represents a bold and transformative step forward in the Louisiana Center for Health Equity’s commitment to youth development. This initiative will serve as the umbrella for all of our youth programming, expanding our efforts to provide holistic, culturally responsive, and impactful opportunities for young people across Louisiana.

 

Through the Institute, we aim to equip youth with the tools, knowledge, and support needed to become informed, engaged, and civically active leaders in their communities. By integrating education, public health awareness, leadership development, and real-world engagement, The Wade Institute will continue to grow as a space that nurtures the next generation of change-makers.

 

We are proud to announce that the official launch and dedication of The Wade Institute for Youth Equity will take place on Sunday, April 19, 2026. During this special event, we will honor Dr. Rev. Mary Wade and formally dedicate the Institute in her name, recognizing her legacy and contributions to community empowerment and equity.
