The Wade Institute for Youth Equity represents a bold and transformative step forward in the Louisiana Center for Health Equity’s continued commitment to youth development, leadership, and community empowerment. Established as the umbrella for LCHE’s youth programming, the Institute expands our efforts to provide holistic, culturally responsive, and impactful opportunities for young people across Louisiana.

The Wade Institute for Youth Equity was officially launched and dedicated on Sunday, April 19, 2026. The launch and dedication ceremony honored Rev. Dr. Mary Wade and formally dedicated the Institute in her name, recognizing her legacy of service, leadership, community empowerment, and commitment to equity.

Now officially launched, The Wade Institute for Youth Equity continues LCHE’s work of equipping youth with the tools, knowledge, and support needed to become informed, engaged, and civically active leaders in their communities. Through education, public health awareness, leadership development, mentorship, and real-world engagement, the Institute serves as a space that nurtures the next generation of change-makers.
