Now Accepting 2024 Health Summit Poster Session Submissions
The Health Equity Poster Session at the 2024 Louisiana Center for Health Equity's Annual Health Summit invites college students from across Louisiana to present their innovative research, interventions, and policies aimed at reducing health disparities and promoting equitable healthcare for all populations. This session offers a unique platform to showcase work that addresses pressing issues in Chronic Disease, Community Safety, Maternal and Child Health, or Behavioral Health. By highlighting diverse approaches to tackling these challenges, the session seeks to foster collaboration and inspire meaningful discussions among participants, ultimately contributing to the development of effective strategies that improve health outcomes for underserved and marginalized communities.
Participants are encouraged to submit posters that are comprehensive and well-structured, including essential components such as an abstract, problem statement, purpose of the study, research question, and a summary of the relevant literature. Additionally, posters should outline the population and sample studied, data collection and analysis procedures, and present clear results. The conclusion should summarize findings, connect them to the existing literature, discuss any limitations, and offer suggestions for future research. A reference list and acknowledgments should also be included to recognize contributions and support. This session not only provides a valuable opportunity for students to share their work but also promotes the exchange of ideas and best practices that can drive impactful change in the pursuit of health equity.
