In July 2024, the Louisiana Center for Health Equity and its partners kicked off its LA40by2030 Tours! The initiative launched in Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) Region 7 on Tuesday, July 2nd, from 7 to 9 PM at the Natchitoches Arts Center, located at 716 Second Street, Natchitoches, LA 71457. Next, the tour visited Northeast Louisiana, making stops in Bastrop and Winnsboro, on October 17, 2024. More details regarding our next stops can be found below.
Our Why
These tours hold immense importance as we embark on a journey to engage directly with communities in Regions 7, 8, 6, 5 and 9. Our mission is clear: to listen, understand, and act upon the needs of the people across the state. By visiting these areas, we aim to foster meaningful dialogue and gather invaluable insights from local residents, organizations, and leaders. Your voice is instrumental in shaping our LA40by2030 initiatives and priorities as we work towards a more equitable and inclusive future for all Louisianians in pursuit of a brighter tomorrow.
These events are free and open to the public. We do ask that you register to stay informed. Dates, times, and locations are forthcoming. Please check back for updates and registration links.
Your Voice Matters!
We are calling upon local residents, organizations, and leaders to come out, share your invaluable insights, and collectively develop solutions to reach a shared goal of improving the health of people across our state. We look forward to seeing you at one of our stops.

The LA40by2030 vision is to improve health outcomes and the quality of life for Louisiana’s children and families over this decade. Our bold yet achievable goal is to move Louisiana’s health ranking to 40th by the year 2030.
The LA40by2030 Tours are a vital part of this work, allowing LCHE to engage directly with communities across Louisiana, including Regions 7, 8, 6, 5, and now Region 9. These tour stops provide an opportunity to listen, understand, and act on the concerns of people living in these regions, especially rural communities.
Through meaningful dialogue with residents, local leaders, community-based organizations, and health professionals, LCHE seeks to gather insight, elevate community priorities, and strengthen partnerships that support a healthier, more equitable future for all Louisianans.
