The LA40by2030 vision is to improve the health outcomes and quality of life for Louisiana children and families over this decade.
ABOUT OUR BOLD VISION:
Historically, Louisiana has struggled to improve outcomes in education, incarceration, and health. Even prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, our state frequently ranked between 49th and 50th in annual health outcomes. In direct response to these startling statistics, the Louisiana Center for Health Equity (LCHE) and partners launched LA40by2030, a collaborative effort to improve Louisiana’s health ranking to 40th by the year 2030. The LA40by2030 Bold Vision is to improve the health outcomes and quality of life for Louisiana children and families over this decade.
LCHE has set a goal to raise $2 million to bring the LA40by2030 initiative to scale for collective impact. Your support is instrumental in achieving this financial goal, which will enable us to extend our reach and implement impactful interventions across Louisiana. With your continued support, we are poised to make a significant difference in the health outcomes and quality of life for children and families.
LA40by2030 was first announced at the 2020 Health Summit. From this summit, LCHE published a written report detailing four recommendations for policies to improve health outcomes for women, children, and families in the state of Louisiana. The 2021 Health Summit focused on the LA40by2030 Bold Vision. To learn more about LA40by2030 and our progress, read the following reports:
